The whole purpose of this league is to develop a desire in our youth to become true students of the word of God in a fun and competitive environment.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team must have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 12 players. Each team must have a captain.
Duration of Season One: 10 Months
Once teams are organized you will not be allowed to go another team until the next season.
OVERVIEW – The rules will primarily follow the rules of the game show “Jeopardy”. There will be a few exceptions and changes to the rules to make the game easier to track and follow.
GENERAL RULES:
Team – The teams will consist of a minimum 3 persons to a maximum of 12.
Rounds – There will be 3 rounds of questions. Each person on the team will complete 1 round each.
Scoring – Each question will have a designated value of 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 points. The team to get the most combined points wins.
Questions – Questions will be asked and the first team to raise team color answers alone. If they raise their color before the facilitator finishes asking the question, the facilitator will stop reading the question and team must complete question and give an answer. If the answer is right, the value of the question is added to their teams score and that team gets to select the next question. If the answer is wrong, the value of the question is subtracted from their team’s total. Then the other 2 teams get a chance to answer the question. (If the entire question was not stated, the facilitator will repeat it entirely.) The round is over when all of the questions in all categories are asked.
Judges – There will be 3 Judges to determine what answers will be acceptable.
Tie Breakers – In the event of a tie breaker, both teams will do one round of jeopardy.
(If there is still a tie after the “tie-breaker” round, then the team who had the highest round of jeopardy is the winner.)
